Philipsburg-Osceola’s Josh Earnest named Centre Daily Times’ Athlete of the Week

Philipsburg-Osceola baseball player Josh Earnest is a Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week.

Earnest did it all in the Mounties’ 7-0 win over West Shamokin in the first round of the District 6 Class 3A playoffs on Friday.

The junior pitched the whole game, striking out 10, walking none and tallying 12 straight outs.

At the plate, Earnest came up a home run short of the cycle and drove in one run.

P-O faces top-seeded Central on Monday in the District 6 Class 3A semifinals.
