State College baseball player Mason Mellott is a Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week.

Mellott was dominant on the mound for the Little Lions in their 10-0 five-inning win over McDowell in a PIAA Class 6 Subregional game on Wednesday.

Mellott surrendered just one hit in the complete-game victory and registered a strikeout in each of the five innings.
