State College’s Leah Henderson is a Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week.

The versatile setter helped lead her girls’ volleyball team to a 3-0 record last week and to a silver medal at Saturday’s Little Lion Invitational. During that span, she put up some incredible stats — a total of 11 aces, 27 kills, 180 assists and 75 digs.

She opened the week up Tuesday with a sweep over Mifflin County, in which she had 31 assists. She followed that up with a close five-set win over Altoona, where she registered 31 assists and 34 digs. And, against, Red Land, she added 18 assists.

The Lady Little Lions had several standout performers this week. But Henderson proved herself to be consistent, valuable and flexible.
