State College’s Isabelle Leazier named CDT Athlete of the Week

State College’s Isabelle Leazier is a Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week.

The Lady Little Lions sophomore made her impact felt during the opening week of play in girls’ basketball. She was named the MVP of the Forest Hills Tip Off Tournament after pouring in a game-high 19 points during the championship game, which State College won 53-48 against Bishop Guilfoyle in overtime.

Leazier also chipped in five points Friday, in a 55-36 win over Forest Hills, to advance to the tournament title game. Thanks in part to Leazier’s effort, State College is off to a solid 2-0 start to the season.
