Bald Eagle wrestling
Bald Eagle finished with a 5-0 record on the week, defeating Penns Valley 40-29 on Wednesday. The Eagles had victories over Susquenita (47-12), Juniata (50-11), West Perry (35-31) and Selinsgrove (40-27) to win the Juniata Duals team title.
Blair Eckley-Jones, Bellefonte boys basketball
Bellefonte boys basketball’s Blair Eckley-Jones totaled 52 points in games against Philipsburg-Osceola and Juniata. The Red Raiders had a 76-69 victory over Philipsburg-Osceola on Monday night. Bellefonte improved to 9-1 on Wednesday by defeating Juniata 64-30. They had a 55-54 loss against Tyrone on Thursday. Bellefonte is 9-2 on the year.
Jacob Desimone, Philipsburg-Osceola boys basketball
Desimone had a team-high 25 points in a 76-69 loss to Bellefonte on Monday. He went on to score a team-high 19 points in a 62-52 loss against Hollidaysburg on Thursday at home. Philipsburg-Osceola is 6-4 on the season.
Kailen Winkleblech, Penns Valley girls basketball
Winkelblech had a team-high 19 points against Clearfield for a 45-37 road victory in overtime. It was her team’s third victory of the season. Penns Valley is now 3-6 on the season.
Zach Braucht, Penns Valley boys basketball
Braucht had an offensive outburst with 36 points in a a 53-48 victory over Clearfield on Thursday, clearing the 1,000-point mark for his career. The Rams went on to notch another win against Saint Joe’s in a 50-26 matchup. Braucht had an additional 20 points against the Wolfpack. Penns Valley is 3-6 on the year.
