Drew Friberg is a Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week.

The State College sophomore quarterback had a stellar day in the Little Lions’ 48-40 victory over McDowell in the PIAA Class AAAA football playoffs. Friberg completed 13 of 18 passes for 197 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions.

State College heads to the PIAA quarterfinals to meet Pittsburgh Central Catholic at 7 p.m. Friday at Fox Chapel High School.
