State College’s Drew Friberg is Jan. 18 CDT athlete of the week

State College boys’ basketball player Drew Friberg is a Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week.

The Little Lions captured two wins this week, due in large part to Friberg’s play.

The do-it-all sophomore netted 18 points in State College’s 83-52 win over Mifflin County on Tuesday. On Friday, Friberg tallied 27 points, fueled by three first-quarter 3-pointers, to push the Little Lions to a 62-52 win over Central Dauphin East.

Friberg and State College (5-8, 3-5 Mid Penn) host Cumberland Valley on Tuesday.
