Penns Valley’s Destiny Andrus is the CDT’s Apr. 25 Athlete of the Week

Penns Valley sprinter Destiny Andrus is a Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week.

Andrus broke her own school record in the 100-meter dash in a 111-30 win over Bald Eagle Area on Tuesday. Andrus posted a time of 12.2 seconds, edging her previous mark of 12.66. She also won the 200-meter dash and helped her team to a first-place finish in the 4x100 relay.

On Friday at the Lock Haven Invitational, Andrus showed out again, winning in the 100 and 200-meter dashes, and guiding the 4x400 relay team to victory.

Andrus and Penns Valley compete in the Mountain League Championships at Clearfield on Wednesday.
