Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week: Rebecca Bierly

Penns Valley track and field’s Rebecca Bierly is a Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week.

Bierly, a distance runner who also posted a strong season in cross country in the fall, won both the 1,600 and 3,200 meter titles on Wednesday at the Mountain League Championship meet.

In the 1,600-meter race, Bierly ran a 5:39.59 and ran the 3,200 in 12:12.25. Penns Valley won 8 of the 18 events and finished second with 133 points.
