State College’s Erik Ebel is the CDT’s Athlete of the Week

State College track & field’s Erik Ebel is a Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week.

Ebel won the javelin, discus and shot put at Thursday’s District 6 Class AAA Championships in Altoona. He threw the javelin 156 feet, posted a 156-3 distance in the discus, and tossed 49-11 in the shot put.

Ebel’s performance helped the Little Lions to a first-place finish, recording 207.50 team points.

Ebel and State College will compete at the PIAA Championships at Shippensburg University on Friday and Saturday.
