Bellefonte’s Storm Smith is the CDT’s Athlete of the Week

Bellefonte baseball player Storm Smith is a Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week.

Smith paced the Red Raiders in their 7-5 win over Hollidaysburg in the District 6 Class AAA championship at Peoples Natural Gas Field on Wednesday.

Bellefonte repeated as district champions thanks to a three-run sixth inning, highlighted by Smith’s go-ahead RBI double. Smith finished the day 3 for 3 at the plate.

Smith and the Red Raiders (12-11) face District 7 champion Charties Valley in the first round of the PIAA tournament at 4:30 p.m. Monday at Fox Chapel High School.
