Penns Valley’s Rebecca Bierly named CDT’s Athlete of the Week

Penns Valley’s Rebecca Bierly is a Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week.

Bierly finished first in the girls’ 5-kilometer race at the Big Valley Invitational last Saturday. She recorded a time of 19 minutes, 19 seconds to beat runner-up Gabbi Bock (19:45) and third-place finisher Catherine Curtin (19:53).

Bierly helped the Lady Rams take fourth place out of 13 teams at the invitational. Bock and Curtin contributed to State College’s first-place finish as a team.
