Spike of the Week: Carson Cross

Carson Cross is the Centre Daily Times’ State College Spike of the Week.

The right-handed pitcher delivered six solid innings in a 2-1 win over the Williamsport Crosscutters on Thursday. He allowed only two hits and two walks while striking out five, giving up only one unearned run.

The University of Connecticut product, in his second season of professional baseball, is 3-3 this season with a 3.47 ERA. In eight games, all starts, he has struck out 26 and walked 13 while allowing 49 hits in a team-high 46 2/3 innings.
