Man shot himself while cleaning gun in Bellefonte
A man accidentally shot himself in the hand, according to Centre County dispatchers.
The man drove himself to Mount Nittany Medical Center where staff called police, according to dispatchers. He told the staff the gun was unintentionally discharged while he cleaned it in Bellefonte.
Bellefonte police are leading the investigation into the incident, which occurred on Tuesday, though the department could not immediately comment.
