Valley Vista Sheetz to close for renovations, redesigned store to carry beer
Emptying the tanks for winter, a convenience chain will fill back up come springtime at one of its locations.
Sheetz on Valley Vista Drive in Patton Township is closing 9 a.m. on Thursday for renovations, management said. The store will reopen in April, according to management, though no specific date has been made available.
The redesigned store will be larger and will carry beer, management said. The number of gas pumps will be cut to 12, however, from the current 18.
According to management, the store may be moved back from the road and will have a redesigned interior. The current structure will be torn down.
Sheetz has more than 240 stores in Pennsylvania. Six, including the Valley Vista store, are located in the State College area.
