Penn State associate professor reported missing

State College police are seeking information on the whereabouts of Ronald Bettig, 56, of College Township.

Bettig is an associate professor at Penn State and was last seen at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

His vehicle, a maroon 2010 Ford Focus with Pennsylvania license plate HJL 5155, is also missing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact State College police at 234-7150 or police@statecollegepa.us. Anonymous tips can be submitted at www.statecollegepa.us.

According to his College of Communications profile, Bettig joined the college in 1988 and is an associate professor of media studies.
