Police release details on Wallaceton investigation

Details have been released regarding a state police situation in Wallaceton that prevented Philipsburg-Osceola students from leaving school Wednesday.

According to state police at Clearfield, troopers assisted state police in Philipsburg with serving “several arrest warrants” on Hunter R. Anderson, 23. Anderson faces a felony charge of fleeing police along with several summary traffic offenses, according to court documents.

The charges were filed March 31 through District Judge Allen Sinclair’s office by state police at Philipsburg, court documents say.

Based on information received by individuals in Clearfield, it was believed Anderson was staying at an address in the 300 block of Clearfield Street in Wallaceton, police said. Due to the nature of the charges, the state police Special Emergency Response Team responded to the scene.

The search “yielded negative results for Anderson,” police said.

P-O Superintendent Gregg Paladina said Wednesday that parents had picked up “most” of the children that were being kept in school.
