The Connecticut women’s basketball team won again Monday night, thumping Syracuse 94-64 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

State College’s Kyla Irwin saw three minutes of action at the end of the game, missing two free throws.

The outcome marked the 109th consecutive win for the Huskies, extending their NCAA record and equaling the streak of the Penn State women’s volleyball team from 2007-10. The Nittany Lions’ run was the longest victory run for Division I team competition.
