Former Penn State OL Stefen Wisniewski performs ‘one of the single greatest plays by an offensive lineman’ in NFL season
Penn State letterman and current Philadelphia Eagles lineman Stefen Wisniewski had himself quite a performance on Saturday — and NFL Network’s Brian Baldinger noticed.
On Twitter, Baldinger — a former lineman for the Eagles, Cowboys and Colts — pointed out one play in particular by Wisniewski in Philadelphia’s 15-10 playoff win over the Atlanta Falcons.
Wisniewski led the way on a critical 32-yard screen pass from Nick Foles to Jay Ajayi that helped guide the Eagles to the NFC title game. The Pittsburgh native and two-time All-Big Ten selection took out three players in what Baldinger called “one of the single greatest plays by an offensive lineman” he’s seen all year.
Wisniewski pushed Falcons defensive end — and Iowa legend — Adrian Clayborn to the side, got out ahead of Ajayi, threw safety Ricardo Allen a few yards and mopped up hard-hitting defensive back Keanu Neal.
Baldinger said it was “the biggest play of the day,” and it’s hard to argue with him.
