Future Nittany Lion Aarne Talvitie picked by N.J. Devils in NHL draft

Penn State players were popular with NHL teams Saturday.

Aarne Talvitie, a native of Finland who will be a freshman in the fall of 2018, was taken in the sixth round by the New Jersey Devils.

The 5-foot-11, 198-pound forward has five goals and four assists with the Finnish Under-18 team.

Current Nittany Lion Denis Smirnov and incoming freshmen Evan Barrett and Cole Hults also were selected Saturday.
