McClatchy Media recently went in search of the cutest dogs in the United States, holding contests in California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas and Washington state.
Local readers voted for the choicest canines. Now the top dogs are facing off against each other for bragging rights as the cutest pup nationwide.

You can choose from nearly two dozen adorable dogs.
You may vote as many times as you’d like until voting closes.
How long will voting last in the national pet photo contest?
Voting in McClatchy’s national dog contest ends at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13.
Check back on Monday, Nov. 17. That’s when we announce the winner in a story.
