A family-owned Mexican restaurant is coming to the Bellefonte area. Here’s what to expect
A popular family-owned Mexican restaurant plans to open a second location in Centre County.
Lupita’s Authentic Mexican Food is set to open June 12 at 200 Mill St. in Milesburg, co-owner Emilio Lopez Ramirez said Wednesday.
“We’re really, really excited,” he said. “So many customers are excited too. We have some customers that ask us, ‘Why don’t you go to Bellefonte? It’s too far for us to drive to State College. It’d be nice if you move to Bellefonte or that area.’ So we’re going to be there now.”
There are about 14 seats indoors and could be more than 40 outdoors. Hours are scheduled to be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
The eatery sells a plethora of Mexican food, including tacos, fajitas, gorditas and sopes. The business’ lease is for three years.
Lupita’s opened its first location in June 2019. Its restaurant inside Uni-Mart 3180 W. College Ave. is scheduled to remain open.
