What’s open in Centre County on Thanksgiving? Shoppers have 3 grocery options
Most stores and services will be closed or unavailable Thanksgiving Day in Centre County.
Banks and U.S. Postal Service offices will be closed. Residential trash pickup and curbside recycling in the Centre Region will be delayed one day through Saturday, except for Bellfonte, where Thursday’s recycling will take place Wednesday, Nov. 26.
If you need to make a last-minute trip to the grocery store, though, you may be in luck. Several area retailers are open at least partial hours Thursday.

- All Giant locations: 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- DG Market, Snow Shoe: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
