A 74-year-old Centre County woman was found safe Thursday after previously being reported missing.

Frances Mottorn, of Bellefonte, was safely located in the Harrisburg area Thursday, state police said in an updated advisory. An earlier update from law enforcement suggested she was “at special risk of harm or injury or may be confused.”

“Pennsylvania State Police thank everyone for their assistance,” police said in a written statement.

Before she went missing, Mottorn was last seen visiting Mount Nittany Medical Center on East Park Avenue in State College around 2 p.m. Christmas Day.

Mottorn was the second Centre County resident to be reported missing this week following a 77-year-old man from Howard, who was reported missing on Tuesday. Anyone with information is asked to contact police immediately by calling 911 or the state police at Rockview at 814-355-7545.
