‘An honor and a privilege.’ Bald Eagle Area School District names interim superintendent
Bald Eagle School District has announced that Joseph Clapper will be stepping in as interim superintendent starting Friday.
Former superintendent Scott Graham resigned in March, citing chronic migraines that were worsened by pandemic stress. Graham’s last day with the district was Thursday.
“I am pleased to be able to rejoin the Bald Eagle Area School District during the search process for the next superintendent of schools,” Clapper wrote in the press release. “It is an honor and a privilege to serve in this capacity.”
Clapper served as the interim superintendent from March to June 2020 before Graham started the job. He has over 15 years of experience as a superintendent and previously worked in Allegheny County at Quaker Valley School District and North Hills School District.
The board is looking forward to working with Clapper, board president Tina Greene wrote in a press release.
“Dr. Clapper’s leadership and commitment to our district will afford us the time to conduct the search for Bald Eagle Area’s next superintendent,” Greene said.
