‘Not an easy choice.’ Bellefonte restaurant closes its doors, holds equipment sale
After more than three years in business, URBN Flavourhaus has closed its Park Place location in Bellefonte, the restaurant announced on Facebook Saturday morning.
The Facebook post thanked customers and directed them to its downtown Bellefonte coffee shop location, 141 W. High St. It also hinted at “the possibility of a new location in the near future” as well as a future Lamar location.
“This was not an easy choice, but as we reflect on the wonderful times we’ve had, we believe it’s the right step for us at this point,” the post read.
URBN Flavourhaus announced its second Centre County location in March 2020. It took over the space from the restaurant Sammi’s, which closed after less than a year in business. Before that, the building was the home of Bonfatto’s, which made a move to downtown Bellefonte.
URBN Flavourhaus featured a drive-thru with menu items including burgers, shakes, salads and more.
An equipment sale took place at the 205 Park Place location from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, according to the Facebook post.
