Vehicle involved in fatal hit-and-run in Penns Valley has been located, police say
The vehicle that struck and killed a Spring Mills man was found about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, state police at Rockview announced.
A Honda Pilot struck John David King, 23, about 8:35 p.m. Friday in the area of Penns Valley Road and Paradise Road in Penn Township and continued traveling westbound along state Route 45, police said.
Police declined to release additional information, including where the vehicle was found or if the driver was also located.
King, who was operating a non-motorized scooter, died of blunt force trauma, Chief Deputy Coroner Judy Pleskonko said Saturday. His death was ruled accidental.
The investigation is ongoing, and anybody who witnessed the crash or has surveillance footage is encouraged to call 355-7545.
