Here are the criminal cases filed July 6-12 in Centre County

Below is a list of criminal cases filed between July 6 and Sunday in Centre County. The information was gathered from the Pennsylvania Unified Judicial System.

Bellefonte:

  • A 53-year-old Bellefonte woman was charged Thursday by Bellefonte police with one misdemeanor count of defiant trespassing.

Benner Township:

  • A 29-year-old Allegheny County man was charged Tuesday by state police at Rockview with one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • A 33-year-old Snyder County man was charged Thursday by state police at Rockview with one felony count of aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI, one misdemeanor count each of DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia, and three summary traffic citations.

College Township:

  • James Willis, 42, of State College, was charged July 6 by State College police with one felony count of aggravated assault, one misdemeanor count of simple assault and one summary count of harassment.
  • Justin Reish, 32, of Bellefonte, was charged July 6 by State College police with one misdemeanor count each of hindering apprehension and evidence tampering.
  • A 45-year-old Howard man was charged Wednesday by State College police with one misdemeanor count of theft by unlawful taking.
  • A 46-year-old State College man was charged Thursday by State College police with one ungraded count of retail theft.
  • A 42-year-old Julian man was charged Thursday by State College police with one felony count of theft by deception.

Why are names not listed in the criminal cases report?

Names are not included because we intend to follow every case to its conclusion, which is not possible in every situation. However, we feel it is important for the public to know when and where crimes are occurring within Centre County, and to know how local police departments are spending their resources.

If names are listed, it is because we have previously published an article about the charges and plan to follow the case to its conclusion.

Ferguson Township:

  • A 43-year-old Julian woman was charged Thursday by Ferguson Township police with one felony and misdemeanor count each of access device fraud, and one misdemeanor count each of receiving stolen property and theft by unlawful taking.

Haines Township:

  • Floyd Etters, 55, of Aaronsburg, was charged Thursday by state police at Rockview with one felony count of unlawful contact with a minor and one misdemeanor count each of indecent assault without consent and indecent assault with someone younger than 16.

Huston Township:

  • A 51-year-old Bellefonte man was charged Sunday by state police at Rockview with 19 misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and one misdemeanor count each of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, a small amount of marijuana and carrying a firearm without a license.

Patton Township:

  • A 46-year-old State College man was charged July 6 by Patton Township police with one felony count of retail theft.
  • A 36-year-old Blair County man was charged July 6 by Patton Township police with one felony count of theft by deception and one misdemeanor count of bad checks.

State College:

  • A 27-year-old State College man was charged July 6 by State College police with two misdemeanor counts of DUI and one summary traffic citation.
  • A 30-year-old Bellefonte man was charged Tuesday by State College police with one misdemeanor count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
  • A 19-year-old New York man was charged Wednesday by State College police with one misdemeanor count each of DUI and possession of a small amount of marijuana, one summary count each of purchasing alcohol as a minor and disorderly conduct, and one summary traffic citation.
  • A 25-year-old Lemont man was charged Wednesday by State College police with one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia and three summary traffic citations.
  • A 38-year-old Maryland man was charged Wednesday by State College police with two misdemeanor counts of DUI and six summary traffic citations.
  • A 33-year-old Westmoreland County man was charged Wednesday by State College police with one misdemeanor count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
  • A 38-year-old Michigan man was charged Wednesday by State College police with one misdemeanor count each of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, a small amount of marijuana and driving while operating privileges were suspended.
  • A 27-year-old State College man was charged Sunday by State College police with one misdemeanor count of open lewdness and one summary count of disorderly conduct.
  • A 22-year-old Port Matilda woman was charged Friday by State College police with two misdemeanor counts of DUI and one summary traffic citation.

Taylor Township:

  • A 28-year-old New York man was charged Thursday by state police at Rockview with one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia and two summary traffic citations.
  • A 25-year-old New York man was charged Thursday by state police at Rockview with one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Walker Township:

  • A 25-year-old Lycoming County man was charged Saturday by state police at Rockview with one misdemeanor count each of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
