Pa. man accused of selling a large amount of cocaine from Penn State frat in State College
A western Pennsylvania man was arrested Friday on charges that accused him of selling a large amount of cocaine from a Penn State fraternity in downtown State College.
Thomas M. Robinson, 22, of Allegheny County, sold cocaine to confidential informants five times since September from the Delta Upsilon fraternity house at 229 Locust Lane, a borough police detective wrote in an affidavit of probable cause.
As he was being arrested Friday, the detective said Robinson repeatedly told officers he was going to “f--- you up.” He was shocked with a Taser and, as he was being escorted out of the frat, said he thought the officers were his fraternity brothers playing a prank on him, police wrote.
In his room, police said they found cocaine, a large bag of marijuana, a .45-caliber handgun, a magazine with seven rounds of ammunition, more than 200 amphetamine pills and drug paraphernalia.
He is facing 23 drugs charges, 13 of which are felonies. He was also charged with five felony counts of criminal use of a communication facility.
District Judge Kelley Gillette-Walker set bail at $150,000, which Robinson obtained through a bondsman. A message left with a number listed for Robinson was not immediately returned Friday afternoon.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
