A second person was charged Thursday in connection with what police described as a “sophisticated criminal enterprise” that sold dozens of pounds of methamphetamine in central Pennsylvania, including Centre County.

Jaionne T. Miller, 25, of Harrisburg, is accused of conspiring with others to sell the drug between January 2024 and June in Centre, Blair, Mifflin, Huntingdon and Dauphin counties.

Miller used multiple peer-to-peer or mobile payment apps such as Cash App to complete the transactions, Spring Township police wrote in an affidavit of probable cause. He is facing 37 felony drug charges.

A grand jury presentment containing additional evidence is not publicly available, District Judge Kelley Gillette-Walker’s office told the Centre Daily Times. Centre County First Assistant Public Defender Lora Rupert, who represents Miller against other felony drug charges, declined comment Thursday.

Joanne L. Shaw, 37, of Huntingdon County, was arrested on more than a dozen felony drug charges in July for her role in the alleged crimes. The charging document filed against her was nearly verbatim to the one filed against Miller.

A felony arrest warrant has been issued for a third person who police said was involved in the sales. Miller and Shaw have been denied bail and are incarcerated at the Centre County Correctional Facility.

Miller’s preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled. Shaw’s next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 10.
