Ryan Seacrest will be taking over as host on the iconic game show “Wheel of Fortune.”

Seacrest said he’s moving to the role after current host Pat Sajak announced he would soon leave the show behind.

“I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last,” Sajak wrote June 12 on Twitter. “It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months.”

Sajak had been on “Wheel of Fortune” since the 1980s, hosting for decades with Vanna White.

“I can’t wait to continue the tradition of spinning the wheel and working alongside the great Vanna White,” wrote Seacrest, who is set to replace the current host in 2024.

Which shows has Ryan Seacrest hosted?

Seacrest said the transition to becoming the new host of the word-guessing show brings him back to his roots.

“One of my first jobs was hosting a little game show called ‘Click’ for Merv Griffin 25 years ago so this is truly a full circle moment,” Seacrest wrote June 27 on Twitter.

Over the years, Seacrest has hosted several other programs, including the “American Idol” competition show, “Wild Animal Games” and “Gladiators 2000,” according to IMDb. He also was on “Live” with Kelly Ripa and “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.
