Headed to Penn State for basketball, lacrosse or wrestling Saturday? You might want to leave early

Penn State Athletics has a full slate of events Saturday at the Bryce Jordan Center and the adjacent Panzer Stadium that could bring heavy traffic in the area.

Fans heading to men’s men’s basketball, men’s and women’s lacrosse and wrestling are encouraged to allow extra time for travel and to arrive early, the university said in a release.

All four gates at the BJC open at 11 a.m. for No. 13 Penn State basketball’s noon game with Northwestern, with A and D opening at 10:30 a.m. for student ticket holders.

No. 1 men’s lacrosse will also be playing at noon, against St. Joseph’s at Panzer Stadium. The women’s game against Lehigh will follow at 3 p.m. Gates open at 11 a.m., and fans can park free of charge in the lower Jordan East Lot, which is located south of Dauer Drive.

Wrestling will close out the day at he BJC, with gates opening at 6 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. dual between the No. 2 Nittany Lions and no. 6 Buckeyes.

Parking for wrestling and basketball will be available in the Jordan East and Stadium West lots at $5 per car, or at no cost with valid parking vouchers or for Penn State students and employees with a valid University Park permit.

RV parking and tailgating on the surface lots will not be permitted, the university said.
