Penn State’s run in the Big Ten Tournament came to an end with a loss Sunday afternoon, as the No. 10 seed Nittany Lions fell to the No. 1 seed Purdue Boilermakers, 65-67, in the Big Ten Tournament title game.

The loss comes after they rattled off three victories in a row from Thursday to Saturday against the likes of Illinois, Northwestern and Indiana.

Purdue is now 3-0 against Penn State this season, with Boilermaker center Zach Edey proving too much to handle for the team in all three games. He finished Sunday’s game with 30 points and 13 rebounds.

The team’s trip to Chicago is not for nothing, however, as the Nittany Lions have cemented themselves in the NCAA Tournament with the three victories they earned throughout the week.
