Penn State picked up another transfer portal commitment Monday afternoon and it’s a former four-star recruit.

Miami center Favour Aire announced his commitment to the Nittany Lions via his Instagram account. Aire was the No. 119 player in the country in the class of 2022, according to 247Sports Composite player rankings.

He joins the program after spending his freshman year at Miami where he played in 14 games.

Aire adds more youth at center for Penn State, where senior Qudus Wahab is expected to start. He will likely be backed up by Demetrius Lilley and Aire, both of whom have three years of eligibility remaining.

The Nittany Lions are now up to 12 scholarship players with one opening remaining as the roster nears completion heading into Mike Rhoades’ first season as head coach.

They’ve already added Ace Baldwin Jr. (VCU), Nick Kern Jr. (VCU), Zach Hicks (Temple), Puff Johnson (North Carolina), Wahab (Georgetown), Leo O’Boyle (Lafayette) and RayQuawndis Mitchell (Kansas City) from the transfer portal and Bragi Gudmundsson from Iceland while retaining Lilley, Kanye Clary and Jameel Brown from last season’s roster.
