Where Penn State football stands in recruiting for the week of July 9-July 15
Despite adding multiple 4-star recruits this week, the Nittany Lions have dropped a spot in On3.com’s Class of 2023 team rankings.
Penn State is now the eighth-ranked recruiting class in the country, after adding 4-star running back London Montgomery on Monday and 4-star linebacker Tony Rojas on Thursday. The program added 4-star linebacker Ta’Mere Robinson from Brashear High School in Pittsburgh on Friday evening. The Nittany Lions are still ranked second in the Big Ten behind Ohio State, per On3.com, and have 19 commitments for the 2023 class so far.
Four-star defensive lineman Jason Moore (DeMatha Catholic, Maryland) made a commitment to Ohio State on July 10. The Nittany Lions still look ahead to 4-star wide receivers Anthony Brown (July 16) and Carmelo Taylor (July 25) announcing their commitments in the coming days.
Another thing to keep an eye on is Georgia offering Penn State commit Yazeed Haynes. The 6-1, 170-pound receiver just made a pact with the Nittany Lions on June 12. Haynes is a Lansdale native out of North Penn High School and a 3-star commit, per On3.com.
