Penn State season ticket holders can reserve College Football Playoff seats. What to know
Penn State season ticket holders will have a chance to maintain their seats and parking spots for a potential home playoff game, according to an email sent to them by Penn State Athletics Wednesday afternoon.
The email outlined the opportunity for those with season tickets. They will have just over a week to reserve their tickets, with a deadline of Nov. 22 at 11:59 p.m. ET. If fans choose to reserve their seats, their credit card will not be charged until a home playoff game is set. If that never comes to fruition for the Nittany Lions, fans will not be charged.
Tickets for a potential game will all be mobile with no physical tickets being printed. If a home playoff game comes to fruition, tickets would show up during the week of Dec. 8-14.
More information on reserving parking spots will be sent via email in the coming weeks, according to the email.
The final playoff bracket will be unveiled on Dec. 8.
The Nittany Lions are currently the No. 6 seed in the playoff bracket and the No. 4 team in the College Football Playoff rankings. The No. 5-8 seeds in the bracket will all host home playoff games on Dec. 20 at 8 p.m. or Dec. 21 at noon, 4 p.m. or 8 p.m.
Penn State will look to continue securing its position this weekend when it takes on Purdue in West Lafayette, Indiana. If the Nittany Lions win out and go 11-1, finishing No. 6 overall and hosting a home playoff game is the team’s most likely scenario.
