The Fiesta Bowl matchup is set between the No. 3 Boise State Broncos and No. 6 Penn State Nittany Lions. And, as it turns out, both teams are covered by McClatchy Company newspapers.

The Idaho Statesman covers 2024 Mountain West champions and three-time Fiesta Bowl champions Boise State, headed by Boise State sports reporter Shaun Goodwin. The Nittany Lions, which won their College Football Playoff first-round game against SMU, are covered by the Centre Daily Times’ Jon Sauber.

The two teams are set to face off for the first time in the Fiesta Bowl, which doubles as the quarterfinal round of the College Football Playoff. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. EST on Tuesday, Dec. 31.
