Penn State football adds additional season tickets for temporary seating. What to know
Penn State has put additional tickets on sale ahead of the 2025 football season.
The Nittany Lions are adding temporary seating on the east side of Beaver Stadium, in the northeast and southeast corners — as was outlined to the Centre Daily Times earlier this year — and season tickets are now available in those sections, according to an email sent Thursday morning by the athletic department.
The sections, labeled NE201-203 and SE 201-203, are the same style of temporary seating being installed on the upper west side of the stadium for the 2025 season.
Those season tickets can be purchased from Penn State’s ticket portal on Ticketmaster and cost $705 per seat — the same cost as the temporary seating on the west side. Due to the current construction project ongoing at Beaver Stadium, new season ticket purchases are for one season only and are not guaranteed to be renewable following 2025. However, those who purchase tickets will be given priority over the general public for season tickets for the 2026 season.
As of noon Thursday, there were more than 250 people waiting in the queue to purchase new season tickets.
The additional temporary seating will help Penn State maintain its attendance capacity for the stadium near the 106,572 it was at prior to the start of the renovation project that could cost up to $700 million. It’s expected to be completed prior to the beginning of the 2027 season.
