ESPN’s CollegeGame Day coming to Happy Valley for Penn State vs. Oregon matchup

ESPN’s College GameDay pregame show will return to Happy Valley next week ahead of the highly-anticipated matchup between the Nittany Lions and Oregon Ducks.

The Sept. 27 game is also the annual White Out in Beaver Stadium, and 3-0 Penn State’s first game against a ranked opponent this season. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.

ESPN College GameDay will air live from Old Main lawn from 9 a.m.-noon. It’s the 12th time the show has come to Happy Valley, according to a news release from Penn State, and the 26th time College GameDay has been held at the site of a Penn State game — home or away.

College GameDay paid a visit during a Penn State home game last season for the matchup with Ohio State. Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff was also there for that game, and both shows filmed around the Bryce Jordan Center.

In addition to featuring fans and their creative signs, the College GameDay show also includes picks for the game from analysts Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee and Nick Saban, along with a guest picker.
