Kick time, TV network announced for Penn State’s October road matchup with UCLA
Penn State’s first away game of the 2025 season has a kick time.
The Nittany Lions will head to Pasadena on Oct. 4 to take on the UCLA Bruins at 3:30 p.m. ET in a game that will air on CBS. It will be Penn State’s second Big Ten opponent of the season — following Saturday’s matchup with Oregon in the White Out — and the team’s only trip to the West Coast during the regular season.
The Bruins have been one of the worst power conference teams in the country this season, starting 0-3 with losses to Utah, UNLV and New Mexico, which led to the firing of head coach DeShaun Foster on Sept. 14. They will have their first game under interim head coach Tim Skipper on Saturday when they take on the Northwestern Wildcats on the road.
Penn State will be coming off its matchup with the Ducks, which it goes into with a 3-0 record with blowout wins over Nevada, FIU and Villanova. The Nittany Lions’ trip to California will be one of two October road trips, with the other being to Iowa City to take on the Iowa Hawkeyes on Oct. 18.
The Nittany Lions and Bruins last played last season when UCLA traveled to Happy Valley and lost to PSU 27-11 in a game that was the first matchup between the two programs in over 50 years. This year’s trip will mark the second straight year that Penn State will head to Southern California for conference game after playing USC in Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
PSU won that game in overtime, 33-30.
