Bald Eagle girls’ volleyball
The Eagles set the record this week with their 80th consecutive Mountain League victory when they defeated Bellefonte, 25-23, 25-20, 25-23. They haven’t lost a league match since October 2014.
Kaleb Stamm, Philipsburg-Osceola
Stamm led the Philipsburg-Osceola football team in rushing in their 40-14 loss to the Central Scarlet Dragons Friday night. He carried the ball 16 times for 102 yards, including a 35-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
Kelsey Hull, Penns Valley
Hull set a personal best with a time of 19:45, leading the Rams’ girls’ cross country team to a win Tuesday over Philipsburg-Osceola. She followed that up with a second-place finish at the PIAA Foundation meet in Hershey on Saturday.
Madalyn Morelli, Bellefonte
Morelli lit up the scoreboard for the Red Raider girls’ soccer team as she led it to a win Wednesday over Philipsburg-Osceola. She scored three goals on nine shots in the 4-2 victory.
Quiana Guo, State College
Guo advanced to the District 6 Class AAA Finals with a Thursday semifinal win over Isabella Frank, 6-4, 6-2. It was the sophomore’s third victory of the day on her way to a runner-up finish in the district.
