Who should be the Centre Daily Times Boys Athlete of the Week for April 25-30?

Editor’s note: The Centre Daily Times will publish a weekly poll on Monday mornings for readers to choose the Athlete of the Week for the previous week of competition. The poll will close at noon Friday.

Here are this week’s nominees for the Centre Daily Times boys high school athlete of the week presented in alphabetical order. They were selected by the CDT sports staff via stats compiled by the CDT or sent to cdtscores@centredaily.com.

Colby Hahn, Philipsburg-Osceola baseball

Hahn had two hits in a 6-2 victory over Tyrone on April 25. He led the way with a 4-for-5 day from the plate and four RBI in a 11-10 loss to DuBois Central Catholic on April 27. Hahn pitched six innings, allowing four hits, two runs (one earned) on two walks and struck out five and had the game-winning double to defeat Bald Eagle 3-2 on April 28.

Cooper Brushwood, State College boys lacrosse

Brushwood had one goal and one assist to help secure the win over Central Dauphin on April 26. In Wednesday’s game vs Northern York, Cooper scored two goals and had one assist to win 15-1 on April 27. Brushwood finished with a hat trick (three goals in one game) and one assist against Red Land on April 28 in a 11-4 win. He is ranked fourth for all of Pennsylvanian’s top freshman high school lacrosse scorers.

Ethan Schimony, State College baseball

Schimony went 1-for-2 against Red Land in a 10-3 loss with a double and a run scored. He also went 3-for-4 from the plate with an RBI in a 10-6 victory over Philipsburg-Osceola on April 30.

Miles Brooks, Penns Valley baseball

Brooks led the way in hits by going 3-for-4 from the plate and one RBI in a 7-6 loss to Bellefonte on April 25.

Triston Heckman, Bellefonte baseball

Heckman went 3-for-4 from the plate with five RBI in a 13-2 victory over Huntingdon on April 28. He followed up with a 2-for-3 day at the plate on April 30 against St. Mary’s. Heckman drove in runs on a double in the first, a single in the second and a in the sixth in a 5-RBI day.
