Who should be the Centre Daily Times Girls Athlete of the Week for May 9-14?

Here are this week’s nominees for the Centre Daily Times girls high school athlete of the week presented in alphabetical order. They were selected by the CDT sports staff via stats compiled by the CDT or sent to cdtscores@centredaily.com.

Anna Stitzer, Penns Valley track and field
Anna Stitzer took first in the 1,600-meter race with a time of 5:36 in the Mountain League Championships on May 10.
Leah Moyer, State College girls lacrosse
Moyer led the way with seven goals and five draw controls in State College’s 19-12 win over Carlisle. She had two goals and six draw controls in the Lady Little Lions’ 23-1 blowout of Northern York on May 12.
Kalista Butler, Philipsburg-Osceola track and field
Butler had a javelin throw of 113-10.00, earning her first place in the event at the Mountain League Championships.
Katelyn Smitchko, Bald Eagle softball
Smitchko went 3-for-4 to aid the Lady Eagles to an 8-4 victory over Williamsport on May 11. She added another 3-for-4 day from the plate in Bald Eagle’s 7-1 win over Penns Valley on May 12.
Sienna Barnhart, Bellefonte softball
Barnhart went 2-for-4 in Bellefonte’s 8-7 loss against Central Mountain on May 9. She followed with a 2-for-3 day with an RBI against Philipsburg-Osceola in an 8-5 win on May 11.
