Who should be the Centre Daily Times Girls Athlete of the Week for May 23-28?

Here are this week’s nominees for the Centre Daily Times girls high school athlete of the week presented in alphabetical order. They were selected by the CDT sports staff via stats compiled by the CDT or sent to cdtscores@centredaily.com.

Sierra Albright, Bald Eagle softball
The right-handed Albright took the mound for the Lady Eagles on May 23 in a 2-1 victory over Central Cambria in the District 6 Class 3A playoffs, allowing just two hits and one run over 10 innings while striking out 18 batters. She allowed just two hits and no runs over seven innings and struck out 18 of Central Dragon’s batters once again on Thursday in the District 6 Class 3A semifinal.
Shannon Mullin, State College track and field
Mullin won the triple jump with a jump of 40 feet, 8 inches at the 2022 PIAA Track and Field Championships, earning a gold medal.
Sydney O’Donnell, State College girls lacrosse
O’Donnell had five goals, three assists and eight draw controls in the District 6/10 Championship by a score of 25-4 over Erie McDowell on May 24.
Tori Reichert, Bellefonte softball
Reichert had two hits and scored a run in Bellefonte’s comeback attempt against Central Mountain in the District 6 Class 5A championship. The Lady Raiders fell 5-3 on May 26.
