Poll results: Bellefonte soccer player selected as CDT Girls Athlete of the Week
A Bellefonte soccer player has won the Centre Daily Times high school girls athlete of the week poll, as selected by readers of CentreDaily.com.
Jordan Stahlman had a goal and two points in Bellefonte’s 3-1 loss to Tyrone on Oct. 19. She took 51% of the vote (1,005 votes).
Here were the other nominees for the week of Oct. 18-25:
Abby Hoover, Bald Eagle girls soccer: Hoover had three points with a goal and an assist in Bald Eagle’s 2-1 win over Huntingdon on Oct. 19. She took second place in the poll, with 30% of the vote (591 votes).
Julia Emel, Penns Valley volleyball: Emel had 29 assists in Penns Valley’s 3-1 victory over Clearfield on Oct. 18.
Maddie Koshko, Saint Joseph’s Catholic girls golf: Koshko shot a +14 in the PIAA Class 2A girls golf championship. She shot 74 (par 72) on Oct. 17, followed by an 82 on Oct. 18 to finish sixth in the state.
Molly Schreiner, State College field hockey: Schreiner had three saves and allowed one goal on Oct. 18 in State College’s 2-1 victory over Cumberland Valley. She made eight saves and allowed one goal in the Lady Little Lions’ 2-1 win against Mifflin County on Oct. 24.
Reese Hazelton, Philipsburg-Osceola volleyball: Hazelton had 18 kills and 10 digs in P-O’s 3-0 victory over Hollidaysburg on Oct. 19. She followed up with 17 kills and seven digs in the Lady Mounties’ victory over Central Mountain on Oct. 20.
