A Bald Eagle Area soccer player has won the final Centre Daily Times high school girls athlete of the week poll for the regular fall sports season, as selected by readers of CentreDaily.com.

Heather Leskovansky scored a goal in Bald Eagle’s 2-1 loss to Penns Valley on Oct. 26. That brought her to 11 goals, one assist and 23 points on the season. She took 64% of the vote (4,435 votes) in the poll.

Here were the other nominees for the week of Oct. 25-Nov. 1:

Ella Hadley, Penns Valley volleyball: Penns Valley defeated Mount Union 3-0 on Oct. 27. Hadley had 10 kills to go with seven digs and three aces in the victory. She took second place in the poll, with 35% of the vote (2,425 votes).

Hannah Garlin and Olivia Miller, State College field hockey: Miller scored two goals and notched four points in State College’s 3-1 win over Central York in the District 6 playoffs. Garlin had two assists in State College’s 2-1 loss to Manheim Township on Oct. 29.

State College girls tennis: The Lady Little Lions finished with a 17-1 season, following their 5-0 defeat by Mount Lebanon.

The poll ended at noon Saturday. To be clear, this poll is not scientific and just for fun, and this was the final poll of the 2022 fall sports season.
