A store that has been in the Nittany Mall for nearly 30 years is now closed

Victoria’s Secret closed its location at the Nittany Mall after nearly 30 years in business, the real estate investment group that owns the mall wrote in an email Thursday.

The lingerie, fragrance and lounge wear retailer did not reopen after the mall was forced to close as part of Gov. Tom Wolf’s COVID-19 mitigation efforts, Namdar Realty Group wrote.

Victoria’s Secret, which opened at the mall in 1991, has no other locations in Centre County. The nearest store for many county residents is at the Logan Valley Mall in Blair County.

The business is at least the sixth to leave the Nittany Mall this year. Macy’s, Express and Kay Jeweler’s closed, while Emporium Market moved to downtown State College and Happy Wraps moved to downtown Bellefonte.
