Centre County Coroner’s Office releases causes of death for Hal and Natalie Hallock
A State College couple well-known for their community involvement each died of cardiac complications, the Centre County coroner’s office said Thursday.
Hal and Natalie Hallock’s deaths were ruled natural, Chief Deputy Coroner Judith Pleskonko said. Toxicology results for each were negative, she said.
Both were found dead in December inside their distinctive purple-painted home at 211 W. Prospect Ave.
There were no gunshot wounds, signs of trauma, violence or foul play, borough police officers said in December.
Hal, 75, graduated from State College Area High School and Penn State before heading to Arizona State to earn a master’s degree in art education.
He married Natalie, 71, after returning to Happy Valley, where he served for decades as a beloved substitute teacher at all five school districts in Centre County.
