Where Penn State football stands in recruiting for the week of July 16-July 22

Another week during the offseason is in the books and Penn State football is standing pat in the On3.com Class of 2023 rankings.

The Nittany Lions are ranked eighth in the nation and second in the Big Ten behind Ohio State, per On3.com.

Four-star running back London Montgomery committed on July 11 and 4-star linebacker Tony Rojas committed to the Nittany Lions on July 14. The program added 4-star linebacker Ta’Mere Robinson from Brashear High School in Pittsburgh on July 15.

Anthony Brown, a 4-star wideout, chose Kentucky on July 16 over Cincinnati, Maryland, Minnesota and over Penn State. Four-star wide receiver Carmelo Taylor is set to make his commitment on July 25.

Marcus Stokes, a three-star Class of 2023 quarterback from Nease, Florida, flipped his commitment from Penn State to Florida on July 7. Class of 2023 offensive lineman Joshua Miller flipped to Georgia in June and 4-star athlete Neeo Avery decommitted in March.
