Penn State season ticket holders can reserve College Football Playoff parking. What to know
Penn State season ticket holders now have the chance to reserve their parking spaces for a potential College Football Playoff game at Beaver Stadium, according to an email from Penn State Athletics.
The process for reserving the parking is similar to the one for reserving tickets for the game.
Season ticket holders will have just under a week to reserve their spots through a link in the email, with a deadline of Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 5 p.m. The email also noted that all parking is weather dependent and could change based on lot conditions.
Fans will not be charged for the passes until Penn State is guaranteed to host a playoff game, which will be announced on Dec. 8 when the final College Football Playoff bracket is unveiled. All parking passes for the game will be physical and shipped the week of Dec. 8-14.
The Nittany Lions are currently the No. 6 seed in the playoff bracket and the No. 4 team in the College Football Playoff rankings. The No. 5-8 seeds in the bracket will all host home playoff games on Dec. 20 at 8 p.m. or Dec. 21 at noon, 4 p.m. or 8 p.m.
Penn State students were given the chance to enter a lottery to be able to purchase a $28 ticket to a Beaver Stadium playoff game, and have until 5 p.m. Friday to submit a request for a ticket.
Penn State will look to secure its position this weekend when it ends the regular season at home against Maryland. If the Nittany Lions win to finish 11-1, finishing No. 6 overall and hosting a home playoff game is the team’s most likely scenario.
